Godolphin homebred Snappy Dresser (Union Rags) remained unbeaten in three starts going 1400 meters at Tokyo Racecourse on Apr. 26, outslugging North Hill Farm's fellow U.S.-bred Rhatische (American Pharoah) by a decisive 1 1/2 lengths.

A May 19 foal, Snappy Dresser graduated by 11 lengths at first asking over this course and distance back in October 2024 and most recently returned from a 13-month absence to wallop first-level allowance company by seven lengths at this venue and same trip on Feb. 21, with the Australian-based Rachel King at the controls.

Favored at 1-5 to put them back-to-back, the athletic bay colt was alertly away for the visiting Damian Lane and tracked the pace out wide down the back. Three deep and in hand on the turn, Snappy Dresser was held together into the final 400 meters, hooked up with Rhatische at midstretch and finished powerfully for the victory.

A full-brother to Caramel Swirl, MGSW & GISP, $782,450, Snappy Dresser is out of an unraced daughter of GSW Fast Cookie (Deputy Minister), whose five winners include the late three-time Grade I-winning sire Frosted (Tapit); Grade III winner Indulgent (Bernardini); and the dam of French listed scorer Pennybaker (Medaglia d'Oro).

Snappy Dresser's third dam is MGSW & GISP Fleet Lady (Avenue of Flags), herself responsible for champion and Darley America sire Midshipman (Unbridled's Song). Caramel Snap's youngest produce include a yearling filly by Authentic and a full-sister to Caramel Swirl and Snappy Dresser foaled Apr. 3.
